Well, it was a nice thought, Fred!

Hi Fred,

Not to rain on your enthusiasm for the AF purchasing these magazines, or for Hifi Hoarder getting some cash for these, but while acquiring these magazines sounds like a nice idea, there are realistic logistical problems associated with that idea.

Where will they be stored?

Who is going to handle the distribution and retrieval of the issues with the members?

How much demand is there for old magazines in the first place?

That last question is not the least important question of the bunch, but, in my opinion, goes to the heart of the dilemma that Hifi Hoarder is having in selling these at an ever-diminishing price.

I'd love to hear others chime in on this issue, especially if there are others who actually have an interest in looking at these old magazines.

Shouldn't the Foundation buy this and maintain it as a lending library for members? TAS has online archives, but they are woefully incomplete, so this could be a great service. :-)
