Vintage Audio Primer with James Plumb and Wayne Carter
Been Vintage Curious but don't know where to start?
Join our Vintage Audio Primer on Zoom with James Plumb and Wayne Carter. Both James and Wayne have decades of experience collecting and servicing vintage gear. They also assembled and hosted the Vintage Lounges at T.H.E. Las Vegas & T.H.E. Lone Star Audiofest this year, and the sound in each room was legendary!
They will provide a quick background on which eras are most desirable, the key players, and the sonic qualities to expect. Dynaco, Heathkit, Fisher, Marantz, Sansui, Nakamichi and JBL will be included.
Next, they will present guidance on what to keep your eye out for, and where. What to expect to bring your next prize up to spec and make it sound great. In addition, there will be plenty of time to take questions and drill into specific brands and products the audience is passionate about.
This event is free for Foundation members and the public. Registration is required, and a Zoom meeting link will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
