It is with a heavy heart that I let you know that our friend and SFAS board member Jim Forte passed away on April 10, 2021, after a long illness. He was 69. Jim had been a member of the San Francisco Audiophile Society for many years and more recently became an SFAS board member. Jim loved music, the club, and enjoyed his HiFi. While having a large record collection, I remember Jim becoming enthralled with streaming and the seemingly endless amount of music to explore. He was like a kid in a candy store. Beyond music, Jim enjoyed his Alpha Romeo sports car, which he liked to take to car shows. Early in his career Jim worked in public radio (WPKN on the east coast). Later he taught at Golden Gate University and most recently he was a stock market technical analyst. Jim lived life to the fullest and he was a great dancer! He was a kind and upbeat person; he will be missed.
