Momentum
David's May '23 Music pick
I’ll be brief with this recommendation, just like the total length of the four tracks on this EP. At just under 12 minutes, this album should leave you wanting more. And it will, if your system survives the bone rattling bass that Brooklyn-based DIY artist, Two Feet (AKA Zachary William Dess) is famous for embedding in his music.
If you are wondering about the name, Dess answers the question by deadpanning that, “My father's cousin's name is Two Feet and she died while exploring Mars, so I took the name in her honor”. Okay then.
Two Feet’s music has been variously described as Indie. Electronic, Pop, Blues Rock, and Trip Hop. One genre I have not seen mentioned is the music to have sex by genre. Though Barry White may have been an early promoter in that category, I doubt that he ever achieved the dubious distinction that Two Feet did when he mentioned that "he had someone offer him $30k to play a private show for her while her and her fiancé had sex." I was unable to find out whether he took the woman up on the offer, but given that Two Feet's style of music came from living in a small apartment and having to make do with the limited technology he had access to… well, I know I would have taken the money. He does say that given that living situation, "I lived in a small apartment while writing the first EP, Go Fuck Yourself, and whenever I brought a bass player in or a drummer the cops would show up. So, I started making my beats myself on the computer where I could easily control the volume. My whole style was born out of that." He has also mentioned that the most common compliment he receives is, 'My partner and I have sex to your music all the time.”
Meanwhile, back to the album… give it a listen and see if it spices up your sex life, or if it just rattles the woofers on your speakers.

And, there was a limited German release of 700 vinyl copies. Those copies were around $40 at the time of their release but when I looked just now I could only see one on Discogs for over 500 Euros, including shipping, that I passed on. YMMV
If you get a copy on vinyl be sure and post to our web site and let us know how your stylus tracks those bass grooves!
