SFAF RAM School of Audio Educational Initiative Class - Basic Lab Techniques

Morning Session Basic Electrical Lab techniques covering the following:

  - Safety intro
  - Using a multi-meter
  - Introducing a signal generator
  - Using a scope: triggering modes, eq probes, advanced options
  - Soldering and de-soldering


We will provide students with soldering stations, de-soldering pump and wicks, cutting tools and multimeters. We will supply prototyping boards and parts.
Afternoon Session:  There will be an afternoon listening session comparing different types of capacitors from 1:30 to 4:00 PM PST.  Attendees of the basic electrical class are welcome to stay and participate in the listening session in the afternoon - please let Larry know (larry@audiophilefoundation.org) if you will NOT be attending the afternoon listening session.
