On Saturday October 9th, 2021, 19 SFAS members got together for a single driver (and open baffle) speaker listening session in San Jose. Mathew from J&J Audio Solutions provided the commercial equipment. SFAS members provided DIY equipment. It was great to get together and talk about music and equipment. The session started with DIY equipment and DIY single driver speakers. The same tracks were then played on the commercial equipment and Sibelius speakers. The Spatial Audio M3 Sapphire speakers went last paired with the LAT Z10 and Gold Note DC10.
A big thanks to Ori, Jim and Matt for organizing and putting on this interesting and informative event! General consensus was that it was fun to have the opportunity to listen to single driver speakers and the sonics afforded by a single driver configuration as well as an opportunity to hear the Spatial Audio M3 Sapphires.
