Listening Session at Phil's House

All:
First of all, thank you for attending yesterday's SFAF home visit, I had a wonderful time and I certainly hope you all did as well, in this I can speak for Phil Jackson as well.  I had expected that I would get groups of 3-4 over the hours and was surprised, and pleased, that everyone showed up early and stayed late.  Hopefully, that meant that you were all having fun, certainly the lovely weather helped as people cycled in and out and enjoyed the fine food and wines.  (Thank you to those who brought either).

One of the things that I wanted to revisit, as I was able to mention to some but not all, was that I was auditioning a wonderful USB cable from Hapa Audio (Hapaaudio.com).  Jason Wong, of Hapa, creates cables that punch way above their weight, which as I hope you could tell is a constant theme in products that I bring into my room.

In this case, I was using his new Aero CU USB cable and I have to say that the first words that came out of my mouth after I had let it break-in for a few hours was "WOW"-- capitals seriously intended.

Jason has generously offered to let anyone who attended to audition for a week, in a round robin fashion, the same cable as I had.

I don't normally pass on this type of offer, but if digital music, either ripped or streamed, is a major part of your listening pleasure I think you would be surprised at the changes this cable makes to your system.  I have had three different Hapa cables in my system at this point and have been amazed at each of them.

On a personal note, I would never have bought the Vapor Joules that are a main feature of my system if it wasn't for Jason and his audio partner, Tyson, who as Pez and Tyson wrote eagerly awaited room by room reviews of many Rocky Mountain Audio Fests (RAMF).  He and Tyson were the first to call my attention, on the AudioCircle web site, to this strange company out of St. Louis who was doing fabulous speaker designs.  Although I have never met Jason, he has my deepest gratitude.

This is the email from Jason where he explains the rules, they are very straight forward and he is very easy to deal with.

================================
I made up the form. It’s live right now for anyone who would like to sign up. https://forms.clickup.com/8415154/f/80txj-680/QNJ2L4XRE5N8KI0DA8
I also made a topic for the group on the AudioCircle Web site:

Basically it’s hot potato rules. 1 week (7 days) approximately per member. They pay postage to the next person. No insurance or special delivery instructions necessary unless specified by the recipient. All communication will be handled by me via email and I do not share members info with the exception of shipping between two parties.

I’m really excited to do this with you all. I think that’s everything for now, if you have any observations or ideas I’m all ears.

All the best,
Jason
