Brazilian Baden Powell is one of the finest guitarists the world has ever known… but someone forgot to tell America! He’s released about 30 albums in his career and so far, four wives that inspired his music. His playing is lush, emotional, and beautiful in any style, whether it’s Jazz, Bossa Nova, classical, he does it all with an emphasis on fingering to bring out the power of his guitars without amplification. The recordings I’ve heard are superb. I feel lucky to have a Dutch release of his LP Solitudes On Guitar, which if you can find, snap it up.
