March Vinyl Garage Sale

Jim Bird | Published on 3/18/2024

On March 16th the Audiophile Foundation held its Vinyl Garage Sale. This was a shared event with the California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) at their facility in Alameda California. About 20 sellers showed up bringing with them their duplicates, underplayed and unloved records to sell to Audiophile Foundation and CHRS members.
Prices seemed very fair and a lot of great deals were made.

As expected, I bought about as much as I sold, but now I have new music to explore, so all in all, a move in the right direction. It was a beautiful day and in addition to selling some vinyl, many great conversations on music and all things analog occurred, in addition to meeting likeminded people and starting up some new friendships. I, for one, spent a good amount of time looking at homemade food porn with another audiophile that loves to cook.... :D

We plan on having another larger vinyl sale at some point in the future that I hope to open and advertise to the general public.
